Xray has just released details on their 2013 spec RX8 1/8th scale on road chassis! The new chassis has included a number of major changes!
New features:
- All new fuel tank with interior baffles for stable engine performance.
- Low profile shocks and related lower shock towers.
The new LP shocks were developed to lower the CG of the car in order to improve stability. With the new LP shocks the RX8 stays flatter, making it easier to drive in chicanes and more resistant to traction roll, letting you carry more speed through high traction sweepers. The other major change is the all-new reverse clutch set whose design provides smoother and faster acceleration, while increasing the lifetime of the clutch shoe.

The T4 rear anti-roll bars for narrowed bulkheads for super-fine tuning. For easy recognition the anti-roll bars have laser-engraved stripes (to indicate bar thickness) for easy and instant recognition.

Xray Composite C-Hub Right 2 degree - Medium - Rubber Spec for T2 T3 T4 #XR-302361
This is a optional XRAY Molded Composite Medium Rubber-Spec 2° Right Side C-Hub, and is intended for use with the XRAY T2 family of vehicles. This Molded composite C-hub for the right side steering block has a pre-set caster angel of 2°. Medium rigidity for rubber-tire racing. Use with matching left-side C-hub #XR-302362.
This C-hub has large openings for quicker & easier assembly/disassembly of CVDs. The entire CVD assembly can be easily inserted/removed through the C-hub without the need for disassembly, and the large openings prevent binding of the CVD in serious crashes.
The C-hubs are available in all standard caster angles and are also available in two different rigidities that are optimized for particular racing conditions. The EU Edition includes medium rigidity (M) C-hubs specially optimized for rubber-tire racing, while the US Edition includes hard rigidity (H) C-hubs specially optimized for foam-tire racing.
